Mmmm…

There’s no doubt that burgers are the most popular fast-food item of all time and are the most-loved comfort food by everyone. Today, we’re sharing one of the easiest and affordable burger recipes that you can use regularly to make your mealtime extra fun. So, take the extra step and craft up your own burger now.

Ingredients:

☑️ 150g canned beef mince
☑️ 1 brioche bun
☑️ 1 tbs butter
☑️ 3 slices of bacon
☑️ 2 slices of cheese (any melting cheese will work)
☑️ 2 salad/lettuce leaves
☑️ 2 slices of tomato
☑️ diced pickled cucumber/gherkin
☑️ 2 tbs mayo
☑️ 1 tbs ketchup

Instructions:

Burger Bun:
Cut the burger bun in half

Butter each half and toast them in a pan on medium heat (this will make them crispy       on one side so they won’t get soggy from the sauce or other juices)

Burger patty:
Form the meat into a patty slightly larger than your bun as it will shrink a little while       cooking

Season the beef with a pinch of salt and freshly ground black pepper on both sides         (we don’t want to add other spices to the meat so we taste the beef)
Preheat a pan on medium to high heat and add a tablespoon of vegetable oil.

Cook the patty for 3-4 minutes on one side. Do not move the patty as we want to             form a crust on the bottom
After 3-4 minutes flip the burger. After flipping, place the cheese slices over the               patty and add a small amount of water to the pan and cover it with a lid. The water         will turn to steam and help melt the cheese and evenly cook the patty.

6. Continue cooking the patty to your desired degree of doneness, an additional 3                minutes should result in the patty being nice and juicy in the middle and cooked                through.

Toppings:
Place the slices of bacon in the pan and fry until crispy (no need to add oil as the             bacon will render enough fat for frying), depending on the thickness of your bacon           this can be from 1 to 2 minutes per side

Wash and drain your salad leaves
Slice the tomato

Burger sauce:
①  In a small bowl mix the mayo and ketchup.

②  Finely dice the pickled cucumber. Season to taste with salt freshly ground black pepper, and a pinch of smoked paprika powder to give the sauce a smoky
flavor.

Assembly:
Place the bottom bun on a plate, next add the salad leaves, then the patty.

② Add the bacon followed by the tomato slices.

Add the sauce to the top bun and place that on top of your burger.
Serve along with some French fries, sweet potato fries, or onion rings.
*** Top tip: you can triple the burger sauce recipe so you have some leftovers as a dipping sauce for your fries.
